Located in the gorgeous and fragrant Stellenbosch Wine Valleys of the Western Cape, the picture perfect Neethlingshof Wine Estate is a world of its own. Notably, this family-friendly estate was originally named "De Wolvendans", which means “The Dance of Wolves” before being changed in 1788 after being purchased by Charles Marais. Upon the entrance to Neethlingshof, guests with be enchanted by the long road leading up to the manor, which is lined with tall stone pine trees. This elegant estate is rich in history, dating back to the late 17th century when the then owners took to extending the vineyards to 80,000 vines to being making their own wonderful wines. Charles and his wife Maria (one of the first female wine-makers in the area at the time) built the cellars and from there on, it was kept going by family members and eventually named Neethlingshof. This history serves a large part of the inspiration behind the success and wonder of the estate.

The background of this gorgeous estate is made up off the Papegaaisberg Mountains, as well as the Bottelary Hills. The stunning selection of wines on offer at the Neethlingshof estate comprise of lovely red and white blends, made possible by the perfect soil and micro climate conditions that create the perfect unique terrior. This estate is also a member of the Biodiversity & Wine Initiative, committed to eco-sustainability, all under the watchful eye and dedicated passion of an esteemed Viticulturist. The restaurant located at Neethlingshof Estate overlooks the mountains and valleys of Stellenbosch, offering amazing food as well as divine wine tastings throughout the week.
