With their philosophy ‘The best surfer is the one having the most fun”, the Son Surf School in Strand offers exciting surfing lessons and welcomes amateurs to take on this exhilarating water sport and have a great time while doing so. With each term offering potential surfers the opportunity to sign up and participate, The Son Surf School in the beautiful Strand suburb of Cape Town offers friendly and experienced training session, through various lesson options. Established in 2003, this amazing surf school has been teaching locals and guests the inner workings of surfing for more than a decade and aims to deliver authentic surfing experiences to all. 

There is so much joy to be uncovered while enjoying surfing in Cape Town – regardless of your age and at any time of the year, surfing can become an amazing hobby or passion and is perfectly suited to Cape Town, where some of the world’s best surfing competitions and most prestigious surfers come from. Located within the popular Waterworld on Beach Road, this safe and enclosed area offers amenities like showers and a local cafe will still being right by the beach and ocean. The Son Surf School is open Tues – Fri from 9 am to 5:30 pm, Saturdays from 9 am to 5 pm, Sundays from 9 am to 4 pm and closed on Mondays.
