For those with a preference for steak, Meeurots allows guests to choose their steak to be done in 1 of 18 different ways, from fillet Escargot or the seafood sensation “carpetbagger” (which is steak topped with mussels, bacons and snails and drenched in a fresh garlic sauce) or, for the hungriest of the hungry, the whopping 800 gram rump or sirloin steak. Other dishes also include red meat while Meeurots showcases some lovely poultry and seafood favourites on their food menu as well. This family friendly restaurant welcomes one and all to experience a memorable occasional, with high chairs available for toddlers. The ambiance is one of relaxation and happiness, simply a place to appreciate great food in Yzerfontein. Inside, a cozy log fire keeps guests warm and comfortable in winter. Meeurots also boasts an impressive wine list and charges a minimal corkage fee for those wishing to bring their own bottle of wine along to enjoy here.
