Get ready, lovers of fine wine and dining. In less than a month’s time, the exciting Good Food & Wine Show kicks off, firstly in Cape Town, then on to Johannesburg and finally to Durban. This now yearly event began more than 10 years ago and is greatly anticipated by those who have had the pleasure of experiencing this occasion before. The Good Food & Wine Show will be taking place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre, from 21 – 24 May, 2015.
What can you expect at the Good Food & Wine Show?
The Good Food & Wine Show is well-known mostly for its cooking workshops, interactive cooking theatres and especially the Celebrity Chefs Theatre, hosted by renowned celebrity chefs. The names of the chefs featuring at this year’s show have been released already, and they are:
Buddy Valastro – the Cake Boss (23 – 24 May only)
Matt Preston – MasterChef Australia Judge (23 – 24 May only)
Siba Mtongana – Host of Siba’s Table on the Food Network (23 May only)
At the Good Food & Wine Show, adults can indulge in regional wine tasting (pick a region and you’ll get to taste that region’s wines) while children take part in kids’ cooking workshops. Cooking enthusiasts will enjoy checking out the latest cooking gadgets and cookware which they can purchase if they want. The Decadent Dessert Theatre will show you how to put together dessert dishes that you’ve never thought of attempting. At the Nutrition Revolution Theatre visitors can eat and learn about the essential and beneficial foods that are trending lately.

Tickets will also be available at the doors, but you could save yourself the hassle by purchasing your tickets beforehand. Doing so spares you from the rush of final arrangements on the day. The less you have to worry about, the better.
The event coordinators have confirmed that parking is available in the CTICC parking lots as well as in the surrounding area. Of course, if you would rather not drive and find yourself near to a MyCiTi bus route, you could cut costs and provide yourself with a more stress-free plan.
