Kammabaai

Kammabaai, known locally as Nanny's Beach, is one of the most popular beaches in Hermanus. This beach, next to Langbaai, is larger and easier to access and is a preferred setting for both families and surfers. A large stony projection here divides Kammabaai in two while there are many picnic spots and sea creatures amongs the rocks, but this is all only available during low tide. High tide brings the stronger currents and the good waves that surfers prefer. Kammabaai leads to the larger Voelklip and Grotto beaches and includes barbeque areas beneath shady Milkwood trees and lots of rocks which you can climb.
