Albertinia, Garden Route, Western Cape

Although Albertinia is one of the smallest villages located within the Western Cape’s famous Garden Route, this area offers distinctive characteristics and is best known for being the home of the aloe. Cape Aloe, otherwise known as Aloe Forex, is an indigenous Aloe leaf that grows here in abundance, while Albertinia is also home to two Aloe factories. Albertinia is situated between the Garden Route's better known villages of Riversdale and Mossel Bay and is also home to a number of charming bed and breakfasts and self-catering accommodation options. Enjoying the backdrop of the Langeberg Mountains and a wonderful display of over 8500 species of Cape Fynbos, Albertinia is a fantastic option for a vacation in the Garden Route.

For holiday guests who are interested in learning more about Aloe, Albertinia has regular tours to keep visitors informed, while also welcoming visitors to the House of Aloes. Other attractions in the lovely village of Albertinia include the Albertinia Museum and the ever popular Garden Route Game Lodge, offering amazing wildlife experiences and encounters that include game drives and bird walks.
