The studio is perched on the mountainside with views of False Bay towards Simons Town, Clovelly Golf Course and Chapman's Peak. The suite breaths light, space, comfort and creativity. It is just 10 minutes walk from Clovelly Beach via the wetlands, close to numerous tidal pools, and very close to the vibrant and trendy Kalk Bay.

Access is via a number of stone steps and wooden stairs from the safe off-street parking. The studio can accommodate up to 2 guests, contains 2 single beds which can be converted to a king-size, and a raised queen-size bed area ideal for children. The beds are made up with 100-percent pure cotton linen, and bath towels are provided.

The kitchenette is well-equipped with a bar fridge, microwave, oven, toaster, kettle, a 1-plate induction stove, and cutlery and crockery. The studio also has a wall-mounted flat-screen TV with a Netflix option, and a dining table and chairs. The studio has its own patio sitting area, and guests are welcome to sit in the terraced garden and make use of the outdoor braai amenities.

Your hosts, Sasha and Martin, will be on hand to welcome guests, together with their friendly dogs, Mojo and Luna. They live on the property, but guests will have the privacy they require in this separate unit.

Discover a quaint and historical cottage that is now a museum located in the beautiful Muizenberg suburb, overlooking the gorgeous False Bay. Celebrating and honouring the incredible historical significance of Cecil John Rhodes who bought this small house and made use of it as a holiday cottage. This is also the place where Cecil eventually died of tuberculosis more than a century ago in 1902.

Cecil John Rhodes was born in Britain but is known for being a colonial empire builder, as well as being Prime Minister of the Cape Colony. This lovely thatch roof cottage comprises of three large bedrooms and pleasant living quarters, while the site also offers a wonderful garden and a small fisherman’s cottage where the caretakers or curators would stay. The original and simplistic furniture remains intact, reflecting Rhodes own character. Now, the Rhodes Cottage is a National Monument, which was opened to the public in 1953. The Rhodes Cottage Museum is meant to commemorate the legend of Cecil John Rhodes and serves to communicate and reflect his achievements, ideal and also his death. From the ambiance of the English countryside to the garden that is rich in Cape fynbos, as well as the many interesting and story-telling photographs, editorials and items once owned and cherished by Rhodes himself. Opened to the public in 1990, the SAPS Museum educates visitors about South Africa’s Police forces, various departments and some very intriguing, mind boggling crime case depictions, some of which remain notorious up till today. The location of Muizenberg’s SAPS Museum previously served as a lookout post for enemy ships that would enter the False Bay area.

The SAPS Museum also showcases a courtroom and cells on the lower level, which often allows visiting schools to act out famous court cases and re-imagine a time long ago. Guests can also enjoy a number of other interesting displays while enjoying time at the SAPS Museum, such as lovely antique furniture, old fashioned uniforms and an assortment of police items and memorabilia. For those who enjoy coin collecting, the SAPS Museum also showcases two counts backdated to 1680 and 1736. Other depictions on display here include an old charge office, the famous battle of Muizeberg as well as the side plate of a VOC muzzle loader.
