Truffle in De Waterkant has the honour of being the first 100% halaal fine dining bistro in Cape Town. Starters include prawn cocktail, grilled Patagonica calamari, jalapeno poppers and an interesting dish called referred to as ‘onion blossom’. There is also selection of light meals and salads. Mains include steaks, stuffed fillet (including the ‘Truffle King fillet’ stuffed with prawn, pistachio, brie and sweet Thai chili ragout), free-range chicken dishes, fish and seafood (including Norwegian salmon and crayfish) and pasta. Decadent desserts finish off the meal with chocolate fondant, hand-made chocolate truffles, pecan tart, panna cotta, and sundaes.
