A beautifully renovated 1883 Victorian cottage with plenty of character, style and textures, this is a charming choice for a peaceful stay in the Mother City. This home uses an eclectic mix of wooden flooring, carpets and Moroccan mosaic throughout, and is beautifully furnished with art, plush rugs and fantastic lighting throughout.
Both bedrooms are well appointed, have king size beds and are accessed via the first floor hallway. There are two delightful bathrooms on this level and a guest loo downstairs. The main bedroom opens onto its own private terrace overlooking the leafy suburban setting, with the other bedroom looking out onto Table Mountain.
The lounge area is very comfortable and has a large TV with satellite channels. There are also original wood burning fireplaces in both the dining and lounge that work well at warming up the cottage when the winter chill is in the air. Just behind the lounge and entrance hall is the open plan kitchen and dining room with seating for 6 guests.
The kitchen is fully equipped with a separate scullery and leads out onto an open green courtyard. A braai and cold shower is available for guests use in this peaceful area, which is great for relaxing or entertaining. There is also a sunny porch in front of the house.
The neighbourhood is called Gardens and it derives its name from the Company Gardens when Cape Town was a British Colony and provided vegetables and trade to passing ships. There is a wonderful park just two blocks up called De Waal, which is perfect for guests with young children.
The property is situated near Kloof Street, Cape Town Medi Clinic. This home is very central and within easy walking distance of a MyCiti bus stop, Kloof Street, Manna Epicure, Cafe Paradiso, the German butcher etc. If guests are looking for a quiet seclusion in a charming setting then this cottage is the perfect choice for a Cape Town escape that is still close to the heart of the city.

Cancellation Policy
- The following cancellation fees shall be applicable and shall be calculated by reference to funds received at that point.
- A standard fee of 5% will be charged for all cancellations.
- Should the booking be cancelled 31 days or more prior to the check in date, a cancellation fee of 50% of the deposit will be charged.
- If we are able to secure another booking for the dates you booked, the remainder of the deposit will be refunded less any nights that werent booked.
- Should the booking be cancelled 30 days or less prior to the check in date, 100% of the funds paid will be charged.
