Tranquility is built on the side of a mountain with beautiful sea and mountain views in front and out back where guests are perched on Table Mountain National Park with its unique flora, fauna and birds. The house is full of character, built with beautiful wood craftsmanship, every room is unique, with different shapes and corners, full of sun, light and fresh mountain and sea air.
The first thing about Tranquility which comes to mind is “O look at all those steps!” but when guests get into the house, the mind and heart are immediately captivated by the peaceful look and feel of its homely character and the magnificent views over Fish Hoek valley and False Bay with its lovely beach and visiting whales.
Then, moving to the back of the house, the scene is transformed into an entirely different landscape of the fynbos of Elsie’s Peak. In most places, one would have to travel far to see such contrasting scenery, but in Tranquility these may be observed from the rooms, patios and balconies.
Many species of birds are regular visitors of the rose garden from where one may hike up the mountain with a fair chance of crossing the paths of porcupines, guinea fowl and deer. This truly is a special place created by God for peace and refreshing.

- Late arrivals after 18h00 must be pre-arranged at least 24 hours in advance, as 18h00 is when the reception closes.

- The managing agent is not responsible for loss or damage to property of, or injury to any guest, member of their family, visitor or any person whatsoever on the premises, arising from fire, theft or otherwise whatsoever cause, or arising from negligence or wrongful act of the owners or any staff in the employ of the establishment.
- The Terms and Conditions of this booking are deemed as being accepted on receipt of the deposit, or credit card details.
Cancellation Policy
- Bookings cancelled 30 to 14 days prior to arrival will be charged 50% of the total value of the booking.
- Bookings cancelled 14 to 7 days prior to arrival will be charged 75% of the total value of the booking.
- Bookings cancelled 0 to 7 days prior to arrival / no-shows / premature departures / will be charged 100% of the total value of the booking.
- Management will levy a 10% handling fee on any refunded amount.
- To avoid any misunderstanding, a booking constitutes a binding contract.
- It is expected that guests take out appropriate travel insurance to cover any circumstances that will prevent them from fulfilling their obligations.
