Swaynekloof Farm is a lifestyle farm with sweeping paddocks and a picturesque game reserve, situated in the Botrivier Valley in the Overberg, 6 km from Botrivier town. Accommodation is offered in 4 charming self-catering cottages and a large farmhouse with a swimming pool. The self-catering cottages overlook the pretty Botrivier Valley and offer a tranquil getaway. Guests can enjoy a family braai or a picnic lunch on the river bank.
The farmhouse can accommodate 15 guests in 4 bedrooms and on 3 sleeper couches. 2 of the 4 cottages are close together, ideal for family gatherings and each cottage is fully equipped. The farmhouse is equipped with a fridge, a washing machine, a dishwasher, a gas hob, and a built-in wall oven.
The farm offers a variety of activities for guests to enjoy such as fishing in the small dams, paddling in the river, walks in the game reserve where dogs must be on a leash and bird watching. Fishing is on a catch and release basis. The farm has eland, springbok, zebra, and ostriches in the enclosure. There are also a few sheep to keep the grass short on the slopes and to provide free-range meat for the farm.

This beautiful, large four-bedroom farmhouse has recently been renovated and is now available for guests. The master bedroom has one double bed and an ensuite bathroom. The second bedroom also has a double bed; third bedroom has two single beds and a double bunk and the fourth bedroom has four single beds. There are also 3 extra sleeper couches, two in the living room and one in the second bedroom.
The living area is spacious and comfortable with a large fireplace for the cold winter evenings. There is a lovely open plan dining room and big kitchen with a scullery including a automatic dishwasher, washing machine and vacuum cleaner. The kitchen has a gas hob, double electric wall oven and large refrigerator.
A large patio overlooks the big blue swimming pool and thatched braai/lapa. The house is not available for loud parties, only family/friend gatherings.

Top Cottage

Top Cottage is a cosy little house over looking the paddocks, mountains, river and dams. It has two bedrooms, an open plan kitchenette, living room and small, but adequate, gas heated shower. There is also hot water for the kitchen sink.
Top Cottage has it own private garden, patio and braai but there is also a larger entertainment area next to the cottage which it shares with Green Cottage. Here there is a sand pit for the little ones and a deep, plunge pool for those hot evenings, wonderful with a cocktail or two.

Green Cottage

Green Cottage" is situated on the same hill as the "Top Cottage" just slightly lower down. The cottage has a common living area/kitchen and two nice sized bedrooms, one with a double bed and the larger, second bedroom has queen size bed, comfy sofa, double bunk beds and also a gas heater for the cold weather.
The kitchen has a gas oven/stove and a microwave plus the usual kettle and toaster. There is modern well-maintained electricity throughout the cottage, hot and cold water and a common bathroom with bath and hand shower, toilet and basin. A genuine old wood stove in the bathroom from a bygone area gives this cottage an air of quaint nostalgia.
The patio has a built-in braai and overlooks the beautiful Botrivier Valley, perfect for entertaining guests or just enjoying a relaxing Sunday braai with the family.

Heritage Cottage

This very quaint, newly renovated cottage from the turn of the last century, has all the mod cons and is clean and comfortable. Don’t be put off by the steep steps in the front, the parking area is almost flush with the patio.
It is situated beneath the gum trees and close to the dams, private and picturesque. Exterior stairs lead to fully carpeted and bright attic which can sleep 2 adults or children about 6 years and above.
