Oppiwerf Farmhouses, Bonnievale

Oppiwerf Farmhouse consists of two of the oldest farm houses in the area, dating from the 18th century, and is an ideal spot for a group or larger gathering. Both houses ooze character, with original yellow wood doors and beams, and clay and bamboo ceilings that keep the heat out in summer and the cold out in winter. The houses are located right next to each other, sharing a lawn and a view of the dam from the voorstoep. The Oppiwerf houses are booked as a combined unit, with Oppiwerf One sleeping up to eight guests and Oppiwerf Two sleeping up to ten guests.

Oppiwerf One consists of two bedrooms, with both of the rooms containing a king sized bed as well as a single bed each. Both of these rooms have an en suite bathroom. Oppiwerf Two consists of four bedrooms and three bathrooms. The first bedroom contains two single beds, the second bedroom has a queen sized bed, the third bedroom contais a double bed and the last room has two bunk beds available.

The houses share a fully equipped kitchen. This includes a stove, an oven, a fridge and freezer, as well as a microwave. There are BBQ facilities available, perfect for socialising and entertaining. The lounge area provides comfortable seating, a television and DSTV. The accommodation is approximately 180 kilometers from Cape Town and forms part of the Heart of Route 62. The nearest towns are Swellendam, Robertson, Montagu and Ashton.
