King Georges Guest House is classified as an up- market, four star-graded guesthouse, situated in the exclusive Mill Park suburb of Port Elizabeth. It is centrally located with easy access to the airport, beach, golf courses, Greenacres and the city centre.
The house has been lovingly restored with the original Oregon pine doors and stained glass windows. Step back in time into the Olde Worlde charm of an English Country Inn. King Georges Guest House has often been referred to as the "Grand Old Lady of Yesteryear". Relax in the atmosphere of this beautiful Tudor style home with its artistic woodwork, stained leaded glass windows and heavily beamed Oregon ceilings.
Guests are welcomed into this impressive home by the Chantlers and have exclusive use of the elegant lounge areas, honesty bar, pool and braai area in the superb garden with beautiful cycads.
Accommodation is offered in 12 spacious en-suite guest rooms, of which two have private entrances. Each room is individually decorated with beautiful woodwork and provided with television sets, hair dryers and coffee and tea making facilities. Some rooms also have access to the WiFi facilities.
Full English breakfasts are served in the dining room and dinners upon request are very popular with business people. King Georges has secure parking secured by electronically controlled gates and an electrified parameter fence and is within five minutes drive of the airport, beaches, golf courses, Greenacres shopping complex, hospitals and a brisk walk to St Georges park and excellent restaurants.
