Avian Leisure has a magnificent location, at the top of Froggy Farm in Simons Town. It overlooks False Bay and is set amidst pristine Cape Fynbos - this means you can see whales, fur seals, penguins, sunbirds, sugar birds and a host of other birds right from your bedroom! An added delight is the regular night-time view of porcupines coming to the garden pond!

Avian Leisure’s location in Cape Town makes it the perfect accommodation for going on Cape Peninsula birding trips, pelagic birding trips, shark trips, whale watching trips, or just enjoying the natural beauty of Table Mountains National Park.

Accommodation is offered in one spacious and modern apartment with its own private entrance and ample off road parking. Shearwater, with its unrestricted and fabulous sea views, sleeps four adults comfortably.

There is a large open plan living room with a self-contained kitchen, dining and sitting areas, a large sea-facing master bedroom and a second bedroom, both with twin beds, and two bathrooms, one with shower and one with bath. Both living room and master bedroom face onto a large wooden deck with views in all directions.

Simons Town itself is a charming and historic village offering warm hospitality and a relaxed atmosphere. There are a variety of good restaurants and shops in and around the village, safe, sheltered bathing beaches on the warm water side of the Peninsula and access to a myriad of activities, experiences and sights.
