Offering stunning views of The Crags and Formosa Peak as well as sparkly glimpses of the Indian Ocean, African Crags Eco-Lodge has openend its arms to guests on 15 December 2016. The idyllic retreat rests on a lovely 11ha private nature reserve just a 15 minute drive from Plettenberg Bay.
The indoor-outdoor communal stoep is a covered area and has excellent WiFi reception. It measures about 60 square metres and is open for all guests to use. It has a couch, lounge chairs, a coffee table, a dining table that seats 10 people, a pizza oven and a gas-braai. Perfect for evenings or if guests need a shady place during the day.
Both unit 1 and 2 are entered through the front door of the main house leading into the communal living and kitchen area. This communal area has sliding doors leading onto the deck. WiFi signal is strong in both units. There is a separate free-standing cottage with two identical bedrooms and a kitchenette with an outside gas stove, a fridge, a kettle, a Nespresso machine and utensils.
The Crags, with its gentle slopes and cool sea breezes, is blessed with several vineyards who produce award-winning white wine varietals, pinot noir and Methode Cap Classique bubblies. A variety of great restaurants and plenty of fun attractions for children and parents abound.
Whether it’s riding elephants, walking with cheetahs, or getting up close and personal with birds, monkeys, or snakes, The Crags is the nature lover’s destination of choice. If adventure is ones thing, the area also boasts everything from mountain biking and abseiling, to canyoning and zip-line experiences.

The main bedroom has a king size extra length bed and an en-suite bathroom with a shower, toilet and double basin. There is a passage with a wardrobe to the small children’s bedroom that is furnished with a bunkbed. A baby-cot in this bedroom can be arranged.
From the main bedroom, sliding doors lead onto the deck overlooking the Crags, Formosa Peak and the Indian Ocean.

The main bedroom has a king size extra length bed and is able to change into twin beds. There is a separate children’s bedroom with a mezzanine level - 2 standard mattresses and 1 standard bed. Opportunity to put a fourth fold-out bed in the room.
Entry with French doors leading onto the deck overlooking the Crags, Formosa Peak and the Indian Ocean. there is a passage with a wardrobe between bedrooms leading to a bathroom with a shower, bath, basin and toilet.

African Crags Cottage

A separate free-standing cottage with 2 identical bedrooms with king size extra length beds, both rooms are able to change into twin beds and bic’s. Views of Formosa Peak, the Crags and the Indian Ocean. Opportunity to put an extra baby-cot in the bedroom.
There is a small lounge with a kitchenette with an outside gas-stove, a fridge, a kettle, a Nespresso machine and utensils. The cottage has a separate bathroom with a shower, toilet and basin. There is also a large covered stoep area with lounge furniture made from recycled wood.

Cancellation Policy
- Cancellation of booking more than 90 days prior to arrival date: 80% of the deposit will be paid back.
- Cancellation of booking between 30 to 90 days prior to arrival date: 30% of the deposit will be paid back.
- Cancellation of booking between 10 to 30 days prior to arrival date: the deposit will not be paid back.
- Cancellation of booking less than 10 days prior to arrival date: the deposit will not be paid back and if the room is not occupied, the guest will be responsible for the total amount of the booking.
