In just a few weeks, the gorgeous Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden hosts an exciting summer attraction! Known as the Kirstenbosch Summer Sunset Concerts, this is a series of open-air concerts situated within the beautiful setting that Kirstenbosch provides, all presented by many of South Africa’s famous musicians!
A firmly established attraction in the Western Cape, this series of concerts has drawn multitudes of visitors to the Kirstenbosch National Botanical Garden, among them, both local and tourist alike. Bringing the beauty of nature to the open-air concert theme, the Kirstenbosch Summer Sunset Concerts provide a one-of-a-kind entertainment attraction in the beautiful Cape Town area of Newlands.

The gates open at 16:00. The concerts go ahead even if it rains. Unfortunately, no refunds are issued.
Rules
The organisers of the concerts invite you to enjoy the concert and also to make sure to abide by the following:
- Bring a bag for all your litter to take home. This is a bin-free World Heritage Site.
- Make sure to leave the garden by 20:00.
- Respect the peace and cleanliness of neighbouring residential areas when leaving.
- Bring low chairs only to prevent obstructing the view of other audience members.
- Please refrain from smoking in the audience.
- Stay off the stage and flowerbeds.
Picnic Hampers
Picnic hampers are available from the restaurant of moyo Kirstenbosch (+27(0)21 762 9585) or the Kirstenbosch Tea Room (+27(0)21 797 4883). Refreshments will be on sale at all the concerts.
Disabled Parking
Any car displaying a disabled parking disk will be given special parking in the service area 400 metres past the main entrance off Rhodes Drive.
