Here is some exciting news for you, South Africa! South African Tourism are hosting four bloggers from the USA, who have been touring our beautiful country for a week already to promote travel from the United States of America to South Africa. On the itinerary are game reserves, relaxing lunches, bush walks, sundowner cruises and historic site visits, just to name a few. Definitely the way to go to fall in love with our culturally rich nation. Their trip makes up a portion of Madiba’s Journey as the bloggers have stops at famous and historic venues including Robben Island, off the coast of Cape Town, as well as The Nelson Mandela Centre for Reconciliation in Johannesburg.
But don’t you want to meet the bloggers first? Coming from various regions of the US, each has an area of interest, including design, style, lifestyle and travel, guaranteeing that they cover all that the country of South Africa has to offer. Follow them online as they journey through Johannesburg, East London, Durban and Cape Town, and let yourself be enchanted by the magic of SA.
First up is style blogger and law student, Blake Von D, who has gained a huge following for her sense of style. Her website celebrates the uncelebrated… the reserved girl in the corner, the awkward teen whose features are often misunderstood and the fearless rebel who refuses to fit in. Girls who – no matter how late they arrive at the party – steal the show every time.
Then, there is Christine Amorose, the travel and lifestyle blogger from New York, who celebrates each birthday in a different country! Her website, C’est Christine, challenges you to “live the life you dream of living”. Follow her as she shares her travel stories, packing advice and her reflections on life, love and yoga in New York City.
Next up is Caitlin Turner, aka the Gypset Goddess (gypsy + jet set), the certified yoga teacher and blogger from Scottsdale, Arizona. Always a traveller at heart, she’s all about “gypsetting” around the world teaching yoga, writing, getting involved in shenanigans, and capturing snapshots along the way. Go gallivanting with her and be inspired.
Last, we have Dabito, “graphic designer, photographer, art director and cultural influencer from Los Angeles”. The name behind Old Brand New, a highly successful home décor studio, he is a lover of the vintage, and his blog is about all that he is and all that he is passionate about. Follow him to wake up your senses to the art of home décor.
These few words cannot possibly give you the full idea of all that these visitors are. Follow them as they journey across the southernmost country of Africa. It’s definitely going to be a magical experience.
